The repetition of mantra is one of the most mellow and yet most powerful of meditation practices. Krishna, speaking centuries ago to his disciple Uddhava in the Atma Gita scripture, recommended this practice of calling out names of God as the best one for our age, and in this 21st century, doctors are now prescribing mantra meditation to their heart patients!

In this workshop you’ll learn what makes mantra so powerful for our bodies, minds, and souls, as well as the classical technique for installing a mantra into your system. You’ll also get tips on choosing a mantra.

Best of all, we’ll practice together one of the simplest yet most potent mantras – one that I recommend as a primary mantra. Consider this: when you practice mantra in a group, with each repetition you get the benefit of saying the mantra not simply the number of times that there are people in the group with you, but the square of that number. Bring all your friends to this workshop, and together we’ll bless each other and the world!

In this workshop you’ll will learn

  • what a mantra is (and is not)
  • what makes mantra still so powerful in this 21st century
  • tips on choosing a mantra
  • classical and practical ways of practicing a mantra

While it’s not essential to receive the benefit of the workshop, you might like to have with you for the session a mala (Hindu rosary) so that you can learn to use it for your home practice.
