You’ve heard the expression “let’s take a deep breath here.” Deep breathing can make a difference. We all know that.
But do we really know how important a few deep breaths can make? Consider that our breath can stimulate, calm, cleanse, relax, bring our attention into our experience in the moment, strengthen concentration, and even help us let go of self-limiting beliefs.
The physical effects of breathing include
bright complexion vs a poor complexion
assimilation and elimination
Each breath we take nourishes every cell in the body.
This workshop is an opportunity to explore the experience of breathing fully. There are other important and powerful breathing techniques in the yoga practices. The most important is the first, Dirgha pranayama, also called The Complete Breath, The Three-part breath, or simply Yogic Breathing. It’s not necessary to breathe deeply all day long. Yet during exercise or yoga practice, most of us need to take longer breaths. And during the day we need to take more deep breaths. Just now and then. When we’re getting stressed. When we’re getting foggy. When we’re unsure, confused, or frustrated.
In this workshop you’ll learn comfortable, easy ways to explore breathing deeper. You’ll also take the full breath into movement, linking breath with movement and stretching the breathing muscles. You’ll come away from this workshop with a visceral experience of feeling fully alive, deep down in your cellular body.
Peace of mind may be just a few deep breaths away.
